Kergudon can be found in the hamlet of St Cadou, located in the heart of Brittany ’s Armorique National Park . Kergudon is surrounded by forests and the stunning countryside of the Monts d’Arree and is loved by all that visit. Fresh air and traffic less roads provide for a relaxing time.
Quiet and unhurried, St Cadou is not for those seeking lots of bars and restaurants on their doorstep. We do however have a pub that is just a two minute walk from the gites. All other services are just an eight minute drive away in Sizun where you will find restaurants, bars, shops, banks, a pharmacy, tourist information centre and open air swimming pool (summer only). St Cadou is at the centre of an extensive footpath network with routes through forests and out onto the Monts d’Arree hills. We can provide you with routes from short walks through to day long hikes. Less than a mile from Kergudon and reachable either by road or woodland path is Lake Drennec , ideal for summer bathing and all year boating and walking. A five mile walk circles the lake and there is a creperie restaurant (main season) half way round from where you can enjoy a meal or a drink. Our two kayaks are available for launching on the lake, each takes an adult and small child.
St Cadou is very well placed to explore all of the delights of Western Brittany . There are endless choices of beaches and attractions as well as activities such as horse riding, sailing and windsurfing. We have assembled a detailed information pack to guide you to walks, beaches, attractions, cycle routes and restaurants in the area. We can help with the booking of riding and can guide you on all the highlights of the local area!
