Planning a Trip to France

Planning ahead is obviously important for any sort of trip you are going to take, but if you looking to go to France, then there are some things that you will need to keep in mind while you are planning out your trip. France is filled with tons of things to do, so you will need to decide on what you want to do before you get there. France is not the kind of place where you want to decide what to do the day of, because you most likely will either run out of time or not be able to get there that day. While there are some things that you could decide to do on that day like what kind of restaurant you feel like eating at or noticing a shop to look around in, the more tourist oriented landmarks are places you want to put on your list of things to do before you even arrive in France.

You will need to know how long you are staying. France may not be the biggest country at all, but its decent size makes it to where you will not be able to visit everything that you may see online if you are only going to be there for 5 days or so. If this is a vacation in which you really want to experience France and to see all there is to see, then 10 days should give you plenty of time to decide which places you want to visit on which days and all of those details.

As you should with any trip, you will need to know what the weather will be like and what activities you will be able to do while you are in France. It is also up to personal preference, because France has very different activities to participate in during different seasons. Make sure you know what you want to do in France according to the weather, because you probably won’t want to be sitting at the beach during the coldest months in France.

France is a very special country as it is filled with something to do almost anywhere you are. There are so many different types of museums, architecture, shops, restaurants, beaches, mountains, just to name a few things. You won’t have a hard time finding places you will want to go, but that being said, you will really need to decide what days you are going to do these activities. You will not be able to do everything you are interested in, but some of those things may be closely related, like two different art museums or something like that. Just try to pick one that will be the most interesting for you, and attempt to visit different places that you have never experienced before.

The travel in France can take a while by car, but taking the train is much faster. But you have to keep in mind that a single delay can stress you out and ruin what could have been an amazing day, so always have a backup plan because these things can happen.
